We Share Air We Share Air

We Share Air We Share Air is a performance about human experience of loneliness as related to, or resulting from ecological catastrophe.

Taking its inspiration from the seminal author Rachel Carson's lesser known book, 'The Sea Around Us' this performance took as its starting point a lecture into how all (human) beings originated from the sea. Through an action based demonstration of this phenomenon, coupled with recounting the process of making this work in which the artist tried to stage a series of public interventions informing people through communal actions of the fact that we all came from the sea, this emotional portrayal is both an homage to Rachel Carson, our incredible shared biological history and the notion that shared experiences in theatre and performance can remind us of what we are part of.
