Peter McMaster (he/him) is an experimental and interdisciplinary performance maker and lover of the amateur, the underdog, the local, the radical and the challenging. He works as a gardener and sees this as equal to his arts practice. He used to have a dog, he now has a baby, and he lives on a boat just outside of Glasgow. His works are interested in the intersection of performance, masculinities and ecological understanding as collaboration.
Since 2009, work under his artistic direction has taken many forms from fully staged touring performances, intimate solo and lone artistic works, artistic mentorship/professional development for other artists and teaching at Higher Education institutions. His work has been presented extensively throughout the UK and has travelled internationally.
He has been the recipient and nominee for numerous UK based performance/Live Art awards, and thrives when collaborating with other artists.
Peter is a member of the artist constellation group as part of Take Me Somewhere festival.
