The Heat Series: Part 1 (We Are The Fire)
The Heat Series: Part 1, was the first episode in a small triptych of works, and primarily explored the use of autobiographical detail in performance as a tool for exploring intimacy with an audience. The textual focus of this highly physical performance, explored the sensation of being aware of one's own growth, and the intense experiences of trying to understanding change that can occur in moments of transition.
The performance had a limited capacity of 10 people per performance and was repeated 10 times over approximately 4 hours.
This performance was commissioned by the former New Moves International as part of The Athena program and was the first commission I received having graduated in 2009.
