House
House was a fully immersive performance experience in which a small group of up to 16 audience members entered into a makeshift house, created by found and abandoned household objects from the streets of the city it was presented in.
Framed by a socio-political discourse concerning waste and community, the audience members were given protective goggles and gloves to wear and ceremoniously were invited to smash up and destroy the 'house'. Following the carnage, they were then invited to re-build structures from the rubble around the idea of 'hope'; hope for themselves, hope for a wider community.
House was presented as part of Forest Fringe 2009, Arches Live 2009 and Forest Fringe microfestival at Mayfest, Bristol.
House was nominated for The Arches Brick Award, 2009.
