Performing Men is the first in a series of professional development retreats for other artists. Set in a rural location, this 4 night and 4 day retreat is aimed at men who want to explore their own perceptions of being male and the ways in which this influences their creative process as well as exploring understandings of intimacy and authenticity.

This retreat is born out of the belief that there is a crisis in contemporary masculinity, and that only through addressing the roots of this crisis, through autobiographical and transpersonal work, can we begin as men to understand how to begin to remedy these problems, and be more compassionate people in the world, as well as more aware artists.

 

Performing Men was originally commissioned by the Live Art Development Agency in London as part of  DIY10.
